With Playa Rent, renting water sports equipment is simple, with no prior booking. Safety is ensured by providing life jackets and instructions before each use.
Operators keep full autonomy, as they own their rental stations and can easily manage them from a smartphone: prices, locations, design, configuration, opening hours and opening or closing days.
Designed to be both practical and attractive, Playa Rent self-service stations enhance the image of the organisations that run them while generating new revenue.
It is a commercial and technical success. Feedback from users is very positive and confirms the plan to roll out new stations.
The first station is designed with the boards stored vertically. This design choice makes the boards visible from a distance, so people can come and rent equipment without booking.
Following the success of the first model, the design is improved to last longer and be more robust. This model is trialled in Brittany and Pays de la Loire.
That same year, Playa Rent also signs a major partnership with the Brittany region to roll out more stations in collaboration with water sports clubs. The goal is to give everyone access to these activities, simply and quickly.
The design is reworked into an ultra-compact, affordable and robust product. Stations are rolled out across western France and customer feedback is very positive.
The product is easy to install and simple to set up, and operators keep 100% of the revenue. Playa Rent raises €1 million to roll out the solution across France and Europe.
In 2026, our stations evolve with a more elegant and robust design, and can be customised in each operator’s colours.
These developments are part of the roll-out and industrialisation of the stations, for the benefit of operators: water sports clubs and tourism businesses.
